BCD Tofu House is a really good spot for Korean cuisine, especially known for its flavorful soft tofu soups. The menu features a variety of options, including vegetarian and spicy versions, all served with generous sides of banchan. The casual atmosphere is welcoming, tons of seating inside, nice staff. Prices are reasonable, making it a great place for both quick lunches/ dinners. They tend to get really busy so call in advance or join their wait list on yelp, my group did have to wait for about 20 ish minutes so it wasn't that bad. I usually get their entree combo C1, comes with a good portion of bbq short ribs, soup and rice. The ribs are marinated to perfection, it was both tender and juicy, with a nice char from the grill that adds so much flavor to each bite. I also got to try my friends raw marinated crabs as well and it was really spicy loll. I love that the rice that comes in a stone pot and the more you let the rice sits on the bottom it will create a crispy crust and ask for warm tea so you can enjoy the nurungji at the end of your meal. Overall I recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic Korean comfort food, plus they open late so those late night craving will be highly satisfied.

came for dinner on a tuesday night. didn't wait too long to be seated but the place was packed. service was solid. we ordered the spicy raw crab combo. it was insanely delicious. it was our first time trying it and we were impressed with the quality and portion. for the tofu soup, we got the assorted which had beef, shrimp, and clam at mild spice. great flavors on it, i love spicy tofu soup and this place did not disappoint at all with the food. if you've always wanted to try spicy raw crab, this is your sign to try it here. would definitely come back again if we're in the area.

The best thing on the menu is the soon dubu and kalbi combo. What a steal. Great quality. Love the rice that comes in a stone pot; make sure you get the mild Korean tea added for that extra second neurongji rice. Be prepared to wait. Pro tip: you can reserve your spot in advance using the Yelp waitlist feature!

Came on a Sunday afternoon, waited about 15 mins which isn't bad at all. The galbi combo comes with a smaller size of the tofu soup but it was a perfect personal size for one person. I love all the side dishes especially the kimchi, fish cake and potato salad. Comes with rice and afterwards they put tea in the rice clay pot which was strange but supposedly it's porridge but I didn't eat it. I was too full afterwards to enjoy it. Service was really good.

Great go to place for soontofu! Free parking, wait time was a max 15 min for a group of 3. Got the seafood soup, mild. Warm and delicious despite the weather. I also got galbi and spicy chicken. Total was under $90 for everyone. Affordable and cozy meal.

My partner discovered BCD a few years ago, and since then we have come to BCD each time we've visited Los Angeles (probably around 10 times now). The food, the service, and everything else is absolutely amazing here, and this has persisted across all of our visits. My go-to order is the original soon tofu with beef, mild spice. Before the tofu stew comes out, they provide several small plates of banchan (side dishes), along with a small fried fish as an appetizer. All of the banchan are delicious, especially the squid, and the wait staff is constantly coming around with carts to refill them. The tofu stew comes with a large stone bowl with rice and an egg that you can crack into the stew. And if you are still hungry, you can ask for some hot tea in the stone bowl to finish off the rest of the crispy rice stuck to the bottom. The tofu stew is perfect when I am looking for a hearty but not heavy meal. I've also had the seafood pancake and the organic soybean cold noodle (a summer special), and both are great in their own right. The organic soybean cold noodle (kongguksu) is a classic Korean dish that not a lot of people might enjoy, since the first time I ordered it, the staff had to double-check with me to make sure I knew what it was. The broth is sweet and thick, almost dessert-like, and the noodles are perfectly chewy. This is a great dish for a hot summer day, and I would recommend it to anyone who is willing to try new foods! Even though the location is in the middle of K-town, this location has its own free parking lot with an attendant. The lot has abundant parking, and the attendant ensures that those who are parking there are solely eating at BCD. Even during the busiest times (e.g. Saturday evenings), I've been able to find a parking spot. There is also a patio with seating for people who are on the waitlist for a table. Although they don't take reservations, there is lots of seating indoors, so the waitlist does move pretty quickly. To my partner and I, BCD has become a staple in our diets and bests all similar Korean restaurants we've tried. I may have to create a separate budget item for BCD at this rate...

solid 순두부 (soondubu) restaurant in LA. I'm from chicago so SGD Tofu house is the place around us that we would go for 순두부 long story short this was a great bowl of 순두부. wonderful flavor and consistency to original flavor to the soup. the crispy tofu bites were great too however, i felt personally that the soup could've been a bit more rich but honestly for a dish like 순두부. it just tastes so much better when home cooked by yourself but lovely place and would come again

Always a must come to spot! Hot tofu soup no matter what the weather is, always slaps! The food is consistent here, which I appreciate. This place is located in Ktown right near the Line Hotel. I suggest going early in the am on the week's at least before 1130 am. If not, there's a long wait. There is a spacious deck you can wait on also, but you might cook out there. So if you're ballin', you can wait in your car with the AC on. Lol. They do have a parking lot at this location. My go to is the kimchee beef tofu soup combo with the spicy raw crab! If you like raw crab, you'll love this combo! They give you a little fish on the side as well along with the banchans (side dishes) which can very from time to time. The rice comes in a big stone pot that they will pour warm water in so if you want to eat it as nurungi (the savory rice at the bottom of the pot that's slightly browned). This locations hours are almost 24 hours as they're open from 7 am to 3 am!
